Lorraine Bright, who later changed her name to Kiran Bhatt, was the first woman in Mahesh Bhatt's life. He met her when he was in school. Lorraine was Catholic and studied in Bombay Scottish orphanage. Their friendship soon turned into an affair and that lead to Lorraine getting expelled from her school.
