Early Life and Education

Dammy Krane was born on December 10, 1992, in Lagos, Nigeria. He is from the Yoruba ethnic group in South-West Nigeria. His mother, Oluwakemi Oshodi, was the daughter of a manager in the Fuji music industry, which influenced Dammy Krane’s musical career from an early age. He started singing in the church choir at the age of six and later joined the children’s choir. He attended Providence Heights Secondary School, where he was popular for being an amazing dancer and performer.

Career

After graduating from secondary school, Dammy Krane focused on his music and worked hard at his craft. He recorded songs on his own and performed at various university shows, where he showcased his ability to merge different genres of music. He was inspired by artists like Fela Kuti, Femi Kuti, Lagbaja, King Sunny Ade, 2face Idibia, D’Banj and Sauce Kid.
